Who Are the Naughty Pines?

The Naughty Pines, first and foremost, is a women’s flat track roller derby team. We are a grassroots organization that began in January, 2009, and are the first all-female roller derby team in the state of Wyoming. We operate as a non-profit organization and not only strive to play roller derby but to enhance the local Laramie community by lending support and volunteer hours to other non-profits in the area. We pride ourselves on being a skater-owned and operated team. The team operates under 5 different skater led committees and the guidance of a board of directors, 4 officers and a coach. We are able to bring the community of Laramie the sport of roller derby by combining our unique personalities and using our dynamic talents as a team. We became an official Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) apprentice league on May 2nd, 2014! This was a team effort, but Eat My Fairy Dust, current team president, led the effort. We will work for the next 6-9 months with WFTDA and our sponsors – Slaughterhouse of Greeley, CO, to graduate and become an official WFTDA league.

UPDATE:: as of June 17, 2016, the Naughty Pines Derby Dames have been accepted as a full WFTDA member league. Check out this press release for more information!
